Hi Folks,

Does anybody know anything about a German Bf 109F left behind in a forest in Western Hungary in early April, 1945 with WNr.: 1183 on tail, code: ??+?C

Unit, sub-type, anything? Thanks,

Are you sure about the number? 1183 would be an E.

Maybe you are right. What do you read this number? I think it is WNr 1183, but it can be Bf 109E. Thanks,

Hi.

Are you sure it is an early type? Difficult for me to see from the photo, but you have also a WNr 491183 which was a G-10 at least at Prag-Gbell in March 1945 (25% damaged in a landing accident)

Could be, but the figures look more as 201183 as 491183...:rolleyes:
