Need help with two ZG26 pilots PLS

Hallo gents!

I am searching all possible info on following chaps from 1./ZG26:

Uffz. Hofmann W.
Uffz. Kiesewetter R.

When they came to Staffel, their probable claims e.t.c.

MiA on 12.08.41 on Eastern Front, with Bf110E-2 "3722" 3U+JH.

I am asking because:

This a/c was found recently, in 20km from Lipovo village, Luzhskij district, Leningrad Region, Russia. Photos will follow soon.

Also, any details or photos of this a/c will appreciated.

No, next photos will follow in may.

I am searching info about crew.

Also: this a/c was 99% sure was shot down by MG-3 of l-t Motylev, 159iap. He engaged 3 Me110 and was able to shot down one of them.

Evgeny,
A couple of photos allude to the aircraft being a 'C' and 'C-2' variant. Can you explain the possible discrepancy between this, and the 'E-2' you say it is?

John:

I was confused by this too. One datashield of this a/c
http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/attach...0&d=1298633512
shows a datail, wich belonges to C-1, and later to C-2 and was produced at MiAG.

Another part, with datashield, shows a detail, produced at GWF, and belonged to Bf110C.

If we will look on reargunner's armorplate, we will see W.Nr.3722.

It gives us Bf110E-2.

And finally, crashplace fits perfectly with lossrecord of Bf110E-2 3U+JH W.Nr.3722 on 12.8.41 and soviet fighter pilot claim on 12.8.41, the only claims over Me110 on that day and area.

Parts, probably belonged to Bf110C serie, werre probably spare parts, taken from Bf110C and used to repair Bf110E-2.
