25/02 - Bf109s on eBay

Hello,

Not that much but not bad.
1. http://cgi.ebay.de/Jagdflieger-Flugz...item1e61aa3907
Jochen who?
2. http://cgi.ebay.de/Foto-Deut-Flugzeu...item33657056c1
We have seen that picture one month ago but it was a bad and small scan.
3. http://cgi.ebay.de/Flugzeug-Jager-Ke...item4cf551a7ca
Kurt Ubben "Schwarze 13", still with Bf109F in May 1942. Tailplane is quite different of what I've seen until today (Three boats victories & we don't see air victories markings) Kertsch in May 1942?? or the word "vor" does change the meaning??
Still: In May 42 he was flying in Stab III./JG 77.

and one pilot

The same Jochen?

Tschüss... another birthday to prepare for second son.

Franck.

Hi Franck, #1 and #4 shows the same Pilot. We see Lt Joachim Schypek of 3.JG76, gelbe 13 and in his Parade Suit. Schypek came down unhurt in Kent, 25.10.1940 flying black or red 7, holding rank of Oblt and was assigned to 5.JG54.
Cheers and thank you for your continuing efforts

Re: 25/02 - Bf109s on eBay

Hello Horst,

Thanks very much, mainly for your heart blessing support!
Concerning the picture... Hmmm.... I had/have it but this one is better.
Concerning the place. My "old" one caption says Wien-Aspern, 1939. Considering the date written here (15/11/1939), it should be Frankfurt/Rhein-Main where the unit - at least 3/JG 76 - stood from 26.10.39 to 17.4.40.

Last:
1/ This is an answer to my question - in a former eBay thread - "What Frankfurt ?" where we can find a silo (grain elevator) like building... (A balloon hangar?)
2/ This works with many 3/JG 76 pictures we've found down there... Thanks Jochen !!

Regards, Franck.

That first picture is an aircraft with either the lowest contrast 70/71 scheme or in a single green color. If the date is 11 September 1939, it is possible that is an aircraft intended for export painted in a single green that was retained.

Re: 25/02 - Bf109s on eBay

Hello Steven,

We can see the contrast between 70 & 71 paints, and date written on picture's back is clearly 15.11.1939.
Now, it is possible the text has been writen in November while the picture taken in September since it seems to me - that Süderlin writings! - he is talking about "Polen ..." place? field?

Cheers, Franck.
