Luftwaffe callsigns question
Hi gents!
I wonder, what words did kampf, stuka, schlacht and zerstorer pilots used to callsigns? For example: Bf110 M8+IP was "Ida-Paula", 3U+TC was "Taube-Caesar" e.t.c. As far as I know: A - Anton B - Bertha or Bruno C - Caesar D - Dora E - Emil F - Fritz G - Gustav ... T - Taube What were other letters? For example, what would be callsign for L1+JH? |

Re: Luftwaffe callsigns question
Good evening Evgeny !
Kaczmarek is completely right !. But there was a pre-WW2/WW2 spelling and there is a post WW2/current phonetic alphabeth spelling in Germany. Kaczmarek`s list is allright, but you may find the letter "K" also as "Kaufmann" today. Best regards ! Horst Weber |
