Me109 claim 16/8/41

Can anyone help with a possible identification please. 72 Squadron led by Desmond Sheen on the 16 August 1941 flew an offensive sweep over France during the early evening. A combat was made with one of his pilots resulting in a combat report the ME109 was confirmed.

Do we have any losses for that Me109 type at that time to identify the squadron and possible the pilot. Any suggestions help warmly received, thank you.

Hello,

Colomby sounds better, Manche, Basse Normandie; doesn't it?

Now there is a
Colomby-sur-Thaon in Calvados.
A Colombey-les-deux-églises, Haute-Marne.
A Colombey-les-Belles, Meurthe-et-Moselle.
A Colombey-les-Choiseul, Haute-Marne.

Choose! Personnaly I had the first Colomby for that loss.

Regards, Franck.
