Can anyone help with a possible identification please. 72 Squadron led by Desmond Sheen on the 16 August 1941 flew an offensive sweep over France during the early evening. A combat was made with one of his pilots resulting in a combat report the ME109 was confirmed. |

Re: Me109 claim 16/8/41
Hello,
Colomby sounds better, Manche, Basse Normandie; doesn't it? Now there is a Colomby-sur-Thaon in Calvados. A Colombey-les-deux-églises, Haute-Marne. A Colombey-les-Belles, Meurthe-et-Moselle. A Colombey-les-Choiseul, Haute-Marne. Choose! Personnaly I had the first Colomby for that loss. Regards, Franck. |
