I am looking for any information about this airman. Mainly I am interested in which was last unit when he served? Any information about his death? Was it for sure he died (was killed) on May 5 1945?

There does not seem to be any officer by such a name (or similar) in our database. Are you sure of the spelling and circumstances?

(DOB: 26.06.18 in Wollomoos near Aichach/Oberbayern).
23.03.42 Uffz., awarded the Ehrenpokal.
16.07.42 Uffz., awarded DKG, 7./St.G. 77.
05.02.44 Ofw., awarded Ritterkreuz, 7./SG 77.
05.04.45 Lt. in 1./SG 103, KIA – shot down near Prague.
Credited with over 800 combat missions and the destruction of at least two ships, 39 tanks, 25 artillery guns, two trains, 150 vehicles, etc.

Well, it seems to be that something is in his Biography wrong. Firstly, what is date for his supposedly death? May 5 1945, or April 5 1945? Secondly, could not he be with SG 10 at the really end of war?

Checking into this, it appears that the death date should actually be 05.05.45. As for SG 10 instead of SG 103, SG 10 is certainly quite possible but Obermaier says SG 103 and I cannot find anything to contradict him.

Ritterkreuzträger Lt. Karl-Georg Gschwendtner (born 26. 6. 1918, Wollomoos near Aichach, Oberbayern) of III./SG 10 in fact was killed on 23. 4. 1945 (not 5. 5. 1945) during battles around Brno (Brünn), Czechoslovakia, exactly at Sitborice, 25 km SE of Brno.
According BA-MA, RL 7/544, Einsatztagesmeldung Lfl. Kdo. 6 vom 23. 4. 1945 his Fw 190 was shot down during ground-attack mission by Soviet flak in [15 Ost] 60888. There he was mentioned as "Lt. Schwendler" in typo-error.
