Flt Lt Vaclav Jicha RAF

Flt Lt Vaclav Jicha DFC AFC is buried in Haddington where I lived for almost 12 years . He died in an air crash in the Lammermuir Hill just to the south of Haddington on 01/02/1945 on a flight from "RAF Kinross" - was this Balado Bridge or is it a misprint for Kinloss? 3 Casualties in the crash. initially he survived but died of his injuries and hypothermia before he was found b y a shepherd in snow.

Can anyone provide info on the location of the crash, aircraft type serial , unit etc

Regards
Frank

So very sad - a very dear friend.

Was in touch with the Girl who loved him, but lost him.

Such a waste - from every point of view.
