They are random buyer codes. If you bid on one auction you wil be 5***5, the next auction you could be be A***4 and so on.

You will have to wait until the buyer leaves feedback for the seller. The full username is visible only then. Or contact the seller to relay your question to the buyer. Both worked for me in the past.

These are not randomly generated codes. They appear over and over with the same code from auction to auction.
