Instrument panel found at the bottom of the sea

1 Attachment(s)
Dear sirs,
recently, a fisherman found in his fishing net a piece of instrument panel of a German plane. The part is very damaged, and it looks like the panel of a JU 88.
On the back of a tachometer, there is an aluminum plate where there are these codes:
…r Drehzahlmesser
Deu…Werke
EW 16
500-3600
0,28
FL 20286-3
The piece was found at the bottom of the sea of Santa Marinella, 50 km Northwest of Rome.
Can you tell me what plane is it?
Thank you in advance and best regards (See the photos attached)
Victor

buona serra,

yes, it does look very much like a JU88A4 panel: see this link

you can find FL20286 equipment on this machine.

Best regards.

Re: Instrument panel found at the bottom of the sea

Thanks for the reply, Gilles! This could be the wreck of a Ju 88 based in Viterbo (about 50 km from the site of the crash). In fact, in 1943, in Viterbo, were the JU 88 of the III / KG 6 and those of the 9° Squadron of the Italian Regia Aeronautica.

Merci et Bonne nuit! Victor
