Von Rohden Collection
Hello all,
Who has access to the Von Rohden Collection? Have some questions relating to various documents in this collection. Best regards, Rob |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
Hi.
Have researched it. Regards, Andreas B |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
Hi Andreas,
Thanks - my interest are the documents relating to Stalingrad and JG 3. Any interesting documents in the Von Rohden Collection relating to these? Best regards, Rob |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
Hi, Rob.
Hard to answer that, as your point of focus is not the same as mine. I do believe the Findbuch for the collection is available as a Word document, contact the BA and ask for a fløy as a First step. Regards, Andreas B |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
Rob,
Content of the von Rohden Collection can be found at least in NARA Guide Nr. T971. I will send it to you via email. Matti |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
Out of curiousity, what is the von Rhoden collection?
Thanks, Rob |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
Hi.
Von Rohden was a general staff officer throughout the war, and at the end leading the airforce historical branch. He was tasked by the allies to drite studies on the Luftwaffe after the war and gathered a large collection of documents to support this work - later known as the von Rohden collection. Regards, Andreas B |
(Parts?) of the von Roden papers are here

Re: Von Rohden Collection
Hello all,
Thanks for the interesting info - especially Richard with the link to the documents website. Best regards, Rob |
Re: Von Rohden Collection
I appreciate the link to the document.
How do you turn a roll of microfilm into a series of jpg images as in that example? I have had firms offer to turn rolls of microfilm into pdf files for me (for substantial sums of money) but I was uncertain about quality. |
