Beaufighters Aegean 27.01.1944
On this date 603 Squadron claimed the destruction of 3 or 4 Ju52 and 3 Ar196 West of Mykonos. Can anyone tell em which pilots claimed victories? I know the Beaufighters were flown by WO Spooner, Flt Pringle, FSgt Rooks and FS Edgar. Edgar made two claims and Pringle one (or two).
On 22 February 1944 an Ar196 was claimed in another attack. Was Pringle the victor. TOE indicates he scored two victories and one damaged but may have only claimed one of these on 27 January. Is the "damaged" claim of 22 February his second? |
