Formed as part of Fighter Command on 15 November 1941.
No. 11 Group from that date.
Still with that Group as part of ADGB from 15 November 1943.

To No. 2 (Bomber) Group, Second TAF on 21 November 1944.
Still part of that Group when disbanded on 7 September 1945.
