Unknown US Instrument Panel
I came across this recently...ignore the German Gauges.
A vet brought back souvenirs from WW2...incuding this panel. He decided to install the German Instruments he acquired into it...however the panel does appear to be US. Does it look familiar to anyone? Though you cannot tell in the pics, the panel is painted Green in color (typical US Cockpit color) http://www.me-109.com/DSC03696.JPG TIA. Mike |
Re: Unknown US Instrument Panel
This is a slightly unusual suggestion but I think that they could be from a He111 which had some instruments in the roof in front of the Pilot.

Re: Unknown US Instrument Panel
Hi!
I did think about that, but the color, and design of the panel is not German... :( Maybe British? |
Re: Unknown US Instrument Panel
Did the early Marks of Blenhem also have overhead instruments?

Re: Unknown US Instrument Panel
Is the photo upside down or are the instruments mounted upside down?
Would American instruments fit the hole pattern of German instruments? |
Re: Unknown US Instrument Panel
The German instruments are mounted upsde down. Looking at it, the holes fit either US or British...
hmmmmmmm... |
Re: Unknown US Instrument Panel
no one huh? Could also be British, as the vet who grabbed it was stationed at an RAF base...
