The Red Baron Flies again
Well, somewhat. ;)
Walter, who is nearly 3, was in a kiddie parade last Saturday (and will be in one again today). My husband is an RC pilot, so his latest purchase (a Neptune SeaPlane) came in a large box from Maxford, USA - It took him 10 months to build his Fokker Dr1 (see it here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10038870/tm.htm) and I figured I could do him one better and make a Fokker in 3 days. Granted, it's not to scale or totally accurate, but it's good enough for government work, as they say around here. Enough chit-chat, here's Wally and his plane (and his mommy pulling him along) - he LOVES it. http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/271/sany0520p.th.jpg http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/5...ny0515g.th.jpg http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/9346/sany0514.th.jpg I couldn't resist. Walter ended up taking the Best Super Hero prize last Saturday - who knows what today has in store -I just hope it doesn't rain. |
Re: The Red Baron Flies again
Interesting build and not the first one Red Baron toy. Something interest me- why there is no Manock, Rickenbacker, Fonck or any else ace small toy replica, why that focus on the MRV plane?

There NEEDS to be replicas of them all, I think. My sister is going to have a baby in January, so once they are old enough, I think perhaps if she lets me, we'll do one of each, which would be adorable. |

At least I hope that kid is happy and wish you nice next build project :)
Cheers :) |

Yes, Walter loves planes. I think my husband and I created a monster. heh heh. Planes and trains, that is. I'll be sure to drag myself out of lurk and get some pictures up if I ever make another one, that's to be sure. |
