Luftwaffe Meteorological "Ranks"

Could someone please explain/define the following meteorological "ranks". Are they civilian grades or actually specialist military ranks?

Reg.Rat.
Reg.Rat. a.K.
Reg.Rat. d.B.
WD-Insp.
WD-Insp. a.K.

Hi Andy,

I can't be of much help, but Reg. Rat. is short for Regierungs-Rat, which roughly translates to Government Official. I believe this was the equivalent of the rank of Beamter in the Imperial forces of Germany.

Hi Vt,

Thanks for that, from what you say I would guess that they are probably civilian meteorologists
