Luftwaffe anti-air activities in the Bay of Biscay in support of U-boat egress/ingress?

Any data of how many sorties were launched by the Luftwaffe to clear the Bay of Biscay airspace of Allied anti-submarine aircraft?

I recall reading one of attempt by a multi-aircraft sortie, JU88s, in Norman Franks Airwar in the Bay of Biscay book. Is there a dedicated work regarding Luftwaffe support in this theater?

IIRC, JU88s were used to clear the airspace of patrol bombers and the Allies countered with Beaufighters.

Another questions which deals with Luftwaffe anti-shipping sorties to clear the Bay of Biscay of Allied hunter-killer surface ship teams? I read of one in particular where the radio guided bombs were used which sank and damaged a number of sloops/frigates. Again, is there a dedicated work or detailed information contained in one work?

Thanks. Pardon all of the questions.

NB: Have copies of Sea Eagles 1,2 and Griehl Airwar Over the Atlantic. Do not have Peter C. Smith's book on Luftwaffe at Sea.

I suggest you get hold of my book 'Bloody Biscay' which details the operations of v/KG40's Ju 88s over the Bay 1942-44
