The definitive Fokker G-1 book(s)

Dear all,
By August this year, the first of two books about the Fokker G-1 fightercruiser will be released! It will be the result of a long period of research by the four authors and should be seen as the ultimate story about the famous Dutch twin-engined fighter.

The book will be in Dutch with English summary and photo captions in both Dutch and English. A unique collection of never published photo's will be made available for the first time!

Would there be sufficient interest for the book (series of books) to be fully translated into English?

It is a nice publication, certainly because of it's exotic subject.

There will be two volume, the first dealing with the development etc, the second with it's operational career.

I was hoping for a similar approach as the Fokker C.V book, but it is a little more traditional (at least the Dutch will recognize the style of writing).

Looking forward to the second volume as well!!

Also the same publication firm will be publishing the Dutch version of The Fokker D.21 book published earlier in French by avions & bateaux.

Never unuderstood why a Dutch author published such a work in a foreign language first, but he did and it was certainly worth buying. Well it looks like I'll be buying the Dutch version ASAP as well.

There have been a number of dutch publishers turning to aviation subjects and the last couple of years have been pretty interesting for the enthousiast.

I guess that we continue work on C.V book late summer and it will include foreigner operators. No idea about the other titles but for sure that D.21 will be nice book to see, I had French edition and it is nice.

At this moment a book about the airwar over Dutch New Guinea is being prepared, it is planned for release for the end of november. It spans the period 1926 to 1950. A second volume deals with the military aviation in the period 1950 to 1962. Both are title "Wachters boven het stenen tijdperk" (vol. 1 and vol. 2).
Another title planned is: "In dienst van hun naaste" - a book dealing with the escape route through the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, used by downed USAF pilots.
