Latvian pilots
 
Oblt Eduard Illers nd arnold Mencis joined as pilots beg. of jan. the JG1, did they see ops service ??

Yes, Oblt. Eduard Millers (WIA 27.12.1944) and Lt. Arnold Mencis flew operations with I./JG 1.

Both survived. I know Eduards Millers lived in Venuzuela in the sixties and Arnold Mencis returned to Latvia. You can find more in the book of Hans Werner Neulen "Am Himmel Europas"

Mencis was wounded on 20/11/1944 with JG 1 according his own recollections.
