Hello Pilot

All the information that I have seen states that the Dora had an open undercarriage bay unlike the A-, F- and G-series. One could look up into the rear of the engine and sundry accessories.

Horrido!

I have the 1997 Signal publication Walk Around FW190D and in the photographs for both the NASM D9 (currently at the USAF Museum) and the D13 in Seattle, neither have covers as depicted in the photograph attached in the preivou posting. You can visualize lots of engine plumbing and support structures.
