Question about Ju87B-1 serial numbers during the PC period
Hello,
Am trying to determine what range of SN in the W.Nr. 0230 range was valid for the Ju87B-1. Were all one hundred 2XX numbers used for the B-1? Specifically was 0231 a valid number and does anyone have any history on this a/c? The same applies to the 3XX number range. All used and all B-1s? And specifically was 319 a valid number and does anyone have any history on this a/c? Regards, |

Hi
From production this a/c was assigned to Est Rechlin, the Stkz was G?+A? was a specific set of blocks assigned to Est Rechlin - GJ-GK-GL-GM-GN-GP-GQ-GS-GT-GU 0230 crashed at Schillersdorf after a failed attempt to pull out from a test-dive. Both occupants killed at scene - Helmut Maurer & Alfred Grundmann from Dept E7 (Bomb & munition testing) Regards Tom Willis |
Re: Question about Ju87B-1 serial numbers during the PC period
Hi Larry
Just checked my (old) files, not updated for many years I have 0213 to 0496 as B-1s with a mix of A-2s in the 0420 to 0429. From 0530 was a new production series of Prototypes for the D series Cannot help with 0319 but from 0309 to 0321 were a few prototypes. I have 0309 as a A-1 - D-ICZR So not all in the range were B-1s Hope this helps Regards Tom Willis |
