"Mike" Gladych 56th FG

This sad news just in from Russ Kyler. Mike had recently celebrated his 101st birthday.

To all the friends of Mike Gladych from his wingman Whippet Red 2:
Squadron Leader (Major) Boleslaw Michael Gladych (Polish Air Force; French Air Force; Royal Air Force; USAAC) flew to his Highest Commander on the morning of July 12, 2011. An official obituary will follow at a later date.
Blue skies and gentle winds Whippet Red 1

Blue skies and gentle winds .
I wish some one would write a book on Boleslaw Michael Gladych .
That would be a great read.

Undoubtably one the greatest in a generation of greats and sad news indeed.

I was thinking someone should write a book about him. Quite the Renaissance man, he became a master of Raja Yoga and taught nmany students in Yoga in Seattle. He also earned a Ph.D. in Psychology.

Supposedly, he never talked much about the war in later years.
