Re: German Aero 300

Hi,

only three prototypes of this modern Czechoslovak bomber were (pre)produced. There are clearly visible repaintings of original CZ marking.

Re: German Aero 300

Hello All,

Has anyone any information on the final fate of the A.300 in German hands?
Did it survive long enough to receive a Stkz?

Regards,

Clint

Michal

As far as is recorded only one A.300 was built (A.300.1)
The other two prototypes were not finished and were captured still under manufacture. As far as I know there is no indication that any of the latter two were finished.

What is your source that they actually were built?

Cheers
Stig

No, the Aero 304 was a totally different plane.

Nice photo Jan. Sorry about A.300 vs 304 - I didn't know any better....on the other hand those 304s were the only Aero losses I could find in my db from Schulen & other sources.

Hi Stig,

Yes, I confirm I have this info. From my archive, as well as from Czech sources. However, there is a question in what condition, degree of manufracturing the two prototypes were. They might have been completed when Germans occupied Czechoslovak republic in March 1939, as some other a/c prototypes.

Regards from cloudy Czech republic,
Michal

Re: German Aero 300

Thanks Michal

It means we are at the same level
One built + two partially built, and no further info regarding their final fate.

Jim
The 304 was rather a development of the 204. Nice loss list. It looks like 20 production A.304 were built in total and used by the Luftwaffe and Bulgarian AF.

Cheers
Stig
