23rd Fighter Group pilots who flew in RCAF

I knew that John C. Herbst service as an instructor with the RCAF (I am aware of the disputed Bf109 claim that some sources date from active service in 1941 possibly in Africa?) but does anyone know of any other pilots of the 23rd FG who saw action with the RCAF in Europe or the Mediteranean?

Lt. Col. Bruce C. Downs, 74th FS commanding officer June 1945 until war's end. He flew with 121 SQ in England and also on Malta before transferring to the USAAF in September 1942. A picture of his P-51D #23 is on Page 7 of my book, "23rd Fighter Group - Chennault's Sharks." Not sure if he was RAF or RCAF, though.

Cheers Carl. I have a couple of books about Malta so I will track him down. I have bought your book of the 23rd Fighter Group, excellent stuff. This is actually your fault - I bought "Wing to wing" in my last year at university (twenty years ago) and it got me scouring the bookshelves for as much as I could find on the CBI theatre.
