Bonjour.

I come back with my demand of order of battle of the Fighter units of VVF over kuban for 1943, or the units concerned by this period.

In my research, I bought a fantastic book, vivid, well written, and smart: Dragons on Birds Wings" and I would to thank the 2 authors Vlad Antipov & Igor Ulkin for their incredible work. Bravo!

I begin to find some IAP or IAD involved during these air battles,I hope that our russian fellows will help us, to find more...

By advance Thanks.

See attachements. It helps if you know some basic Russian. The table which shows the planetypes is valid for 1st of July 1943.

Hello.

For ftrmbr:
Thank you for your help, I had already found this interesting link

For Yogybär:
Thank you for the 2 tables even I don't know Russian language. For the first table, I can understand the types of Russian Planes, for the second I will try my best, it seem's as unit (IAK or IAD for ex...), it's already a good view.

Thank you again

What bomber type was the B-3?

Hello Dénes.

I don't know if your question is for me ? It is already difficult, because the tables are in Russian. However I will try to answer you by deduction.

If it was the same reference that in French Armée de l'Air, B-3 means Bomber with a crew of 3 mens, as DB-3 / Il-4, Pe-2, SB-3 or less known Yak-2.

Thank you.

Many,

I am afraid this is not correct. "B-3" was actually a Soviet designation sometimes used for Douglas Boston bomber.

Yes, B-3 stands for Boston (A-20).

Many. if you want to break the Air Divisions down further, you can try this link (which actually is very good!):

Hello.

Thank you Ota & Yogybär

Sorry for the mistake, I am not a specialist about the bombers and less again about the Russian bombers. I try my best with my poor knowledge...

very nice link, that I can translate with google even if it is an approx. translation, it is useful.
