in order to sell all its papers, its graduates and his album photographs.

I doubt very much if Stollenberger got forty-five claims, almost certainly nothing after July 1942, but his first two were with as a Fahnrich with 4./LG2.....

22nd June 1941 P-40 at 2010 hrs
23rd June 1941 SB- at 0745 hrs.

Hans is a shortened version of Johann, and I believe his name was Johann.

16.02.42 Lt., awarded the Ehrenpokal.
(n.d.) with 4.(S)/LG 2.
24.09.42 Lt., awarded DKG, I./Schl.G. 1.
14.10.42 Lt. and Stafü 8./Schl.G. 1, awarded the Ritterkreuz on completing 460 combat sorties and achieving 20 aerial victories.
04.43 in Schl.G. 1.
12.06.43 Hptm. in Erg.Schl.Gr., appt Staka 2./SG 101 (to 17.05.44).
25.06.43 ordered to Luftattaché Budapest for temporary duty (to 16.07.43).
1943 Staka 2./SG 101.
18.05.44 Hptm., appt Kdr. I./SG 101 (to 10.11.44).
11.11.44 Hptm., appt Kdr. II./SG 4 (to c. 01.45).
02.01.45 Staka 8./SG 10 (and 01.05.45).
Credited with a total of c.600 operational sorties and supposedly 45 aerial victories.


Kracker's Archive states:

Stollnberger, Hans Hptm. Born:4/10/1919 in Baumgartenberg Muhlviertel, Oberösterreich - 45 victories - II.(S)/LG-2, 4. (S)/LG-2, Stfkpt 6./Sch.G-1 (3/43 S.U.), Stfkpt 2./SG-101, Sftkpt 8./SG-10, Kdr I./SG-101 (11/44), Kdr II./SG-4 (1/45) Hs 129B, Fw 190A-5 Werk # 1105 (lost 3/14/43), Fw 190F & G in SG-4 RK(10/14/42), DK-G (9/24/42), EK 1 & 2, Wound Badge, Assault Operational Clasp w/Pendant Injured in a takeoff crash from Pawlegrad on 14 March, 1943. Channel pilot. Total of about 600 combat missions as an Assault Pilot. Bowers/Lednicer, 10 victories.

The misspelling as "Pavlegrad" was made by Mr. T. Kracker:

Scroll down to Stollnberger and look in the last column at the far right.

It is probably more of a typo on Kracker's part than a spelling mistake.
