Hello,
Anson File page 69, has -
W1733 - ATA [ 1 FPP / AMF ]
Crashed through hedge in forced landing in bad weather in field at Lessines, Belgium 19.9.44.

ATA = Air Transport Auxiliary
1 FPP = 1 Ferry Pilot Pool
AMF = Air Movements Flight

Possible crew , try Geoffs search engine.

Alain and Alex, thanks a lot. That confirms my opinion. That's the good one.

Alex, what do you mean with "possible crew Geofs" ? Is Geofs the firstname ( for geoffrey ? ) or the surname ? Can you say me where this information comes from ?

Do you have an idea about the mission and the airbase ?

Thanks.

It means Geoff's search engine on http://www.hut-six.co.uk/cgi-bin/search39-47.php that gives a perfect tool to browse CWGC in more ways than the website itself.

But if you find a possible name, then it regrettably also means that fatalities were involved...

Leendert,

Ok, thanks. I didn't know this website. I searched always with CWGC website. In this case, the pilot was safe and I don't have any name ... Then, always looking for a name or other info about the plane. If somebody has that ...
Once more, thanks a lot.
