Tuskagee P-51 losses October 1944
Hi guys
My research indicates that six P-51s of the 322ndFG were lost in two raids over Greece, on 4th and 6th October 1944. Four of the pilots were killed and two evaded. Has anyone the relevant MACRS and/or Evasion Reports pertaining to these pilots? Capt Erwin B. Lawrence 99FS lost 4/10/44 (MACR 8981) Capt Kenneth I. Williams 99FS lost 4/10/44 (MACR 8982) 1/Lt Carroll S. Woods 100FS lost 6/10/44 (MACR 8983) 2/Lt Joe A. Lewis 301FS lost 6/10/44 (MACR 9035) 1/Lt Freddie E. Hutchins 302FS shot down 6/10/44 - evaded 2/Lt Andrew D. Marshall 301FS shot down 6/10/44 - evaded Any help appreciated. Cheers Brian |
