Re: B-26 lost 18/4/45
Also required: identity of P-38 pilot and unit mention in Richard Turner's book as crashing at A.2 airfield on 25/6/44. He had been shot down by the airfield's defences.
Additionally, has anyone any ideas who was responsible for attacking Patton's Cub on 20/4/45. According to his memoirs it was a Spitfire that crashed after making a second pass, killing its pilot, but no RAF loss has been found. Could it have been a French Spitfire or perhaps a P-51? HI ALEX I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WHEN TRYING TO POST A REPLY/MESSAGE - HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL ADVISE ME! I DO NOT HAVE THE PIECE TO HAND RE THE PATTON INCIDENT BUT I BELIEVE IT OCCURRED OVER SOUTHERN GERMANY. I WILL PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION ASAP. THANKS FOR THE WELCOME |

Just logged in back home. I will reply to you soon. I think I know the pilot involved in Patton's incident but I have to check his log book. Anyway, I have his story described. ;) |
