KG 55 or TGr. 30, 05./06.10.1944

Gentlemen,

is there any further information about the loss of the He 111 of Hptm. Rudolf Haßler during the mission on 05./06.10.1944 available?

A/c and crew were from 9./KG 55 or TGr. 30...

Thanks in advance

I found a He 111 of the TGr. 30 on the 5th - Zellhausen crew killed and one on the 6th near Saarburg (one man wounded) but not the name you give ?
The crew killed 5th October was a former 9./KG 55 crew.

Looking through the losses of the TG30 supply flights and the KG55 book I could not find a Hpt. Rudolf Hassler, the crash at Zellhausen included the loss of B Uffz. Engelbert Haser, and Bd Uffz Rudolf Gebhardt.

Gentlemen,

thank you very much for your replies!

I found an entry in the "Schafsweide"-book by Kurt Braatz; he states that the He 111 of Haßler (Staffelkapitän of 7./KG 55) made a belly landing because of fuel shortage.
