Z506B shot down by Bf109? 16 September 1943

Hi guys

I have a note that a Z506B of 147Squadriglia RM was 'destroyed' (shot down?) by a German fighter (Bf109?) near the Greek island of Astypalea on 16 September 1943.

Has anyone further information from either side?

Hi guys

An update!

I have been advised that the Z.506B was shot down by two Bf11Os (not Bf109s), and that the seaplane gunner claimed one the attackers also shot down.

Hope this may help in identifying both crews etc.
