4/KG40 : Ofw. Werner Neuenfeldt and crew 1944

Hello gentlemen ,

This bomber pilot was shot down two times over France in summer 1944 flying He177s .
His father was Otto Neuenfeldt , he was from Stradmin / Kolberg.
As I do not speak and read german , could a nice fellow help me : I would like to trace him or his relatives to get wartime testimonies and pictures . At least one of his He 177 has been located.

Thank you ,

Zorglub

As you probably know, I was in touch with 2 from his crew but not Neuenfeldt

Yes Chris but you never told me who they were , and which documentation you have from them. I don't even think you will share anything graciously , so ...

We'll dig next near on Neuenfeldt's He177 ( 12/13 June 1944 ) , maybe you'll have pictures , maybe not .

If you had asked, I might have considered helping but I am afraid after what you have written, I am not inclined to help. I suggest you now purchase my book 'Sea Eagles 2'

BC (don't worry I know your real name)

My input to this forum & aviation history in general speaks for itself & if you have a problem with this or with something that apparently upset you personally 30 years ago, so be it. I would prefer you not use this forum to intimate or make such comments.

I have nothing more to say on this matter apart from if one asks, one normally gets

Moderator's note: this is not the place for personal arguments or reviving decades-old grudges.

To add to Chris's last post, I would just add that my entire experience as a researcher has been that if you help people — or even just offer to — they'll help you.

I second that

I have always found Chris extremely helpful, as I have with the vast majority of members on this Forum.

I am the first to say that without his help and that of others, my knowledge of many events and incidents would have remained limited. And I hope that I have helped in some way along the line.

Keep up the great work, Chris.

Cheers
Brian

I was thinking it would have been interesting for some members of the crew or relatives to see both DB610s ( and more ) which have been accurately pinpointed ... somewhere in Normandy .
You will heard of this next year !

Interesting for us too... perhaps you may share/explain your research (of course, not revealing your pinpointing) - just for curiosity?

Best regards
