The Bf 109 WNr. 13 045 was a Bf 109F-4 constructed by Wiener-Neustädter Flugzeugwerke (WNF). I have no exact information about its birthday, but Dr. Jochen Prien indicates that it would have been in the Dec. 1941-Jan. 1942 period. I have no reason to contest that.

Paul! Since it is "Kiwi-Dave" asking I think we can start to hope for some sweet news about a recovery. It would be a disapointment if its "only" research for a photo caption... ;-)

Hee Hee - actually major parts of it were recovered some years ago, but the owner has started working on it, along with others he has.
