Baugruppen of props
According to the Ta152 book (Hitchcock), Page 104,
VS9 prop "Baugruppen" was 9-30372.11, and to be applied to Fw190 D-12/13. However, famous D-13 "Yellow 10" prop blade stenciled as "9-27012 C-1" http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3648/...20388f14_b.jpg Also, another source states Ta152H prop blade type was 9-27012D, and whole prop including spinner assembly was numbered as 9-21036C-1. I wonder, 9-27012C-1 and 9-27012D indicate the "single blade" I.D. (C for rounded tip and D for swept tip, I suppose), 9-30372.11 indicates "three blades + hub" I.D. (common number to both 9-27012C and D blade type?), and 9-21036C-1 indicates the "three blades + hub + spinner" I.D. Is it correct? |
Re: Baugruppen of props
Hi, the groups varied between aircraft.
VS111 is correct for the Fw190 D9 VS9 is correct for the Fw190 D11 and D12 VS9 and VS19 are both correct for the Ta152. The difference in hubs would have meant different props. Prop numbers were individual, and groups were never actually "numbered" on the items directly. Those baugruppe numbers were only shown in manuals. So you are going to have a different numbers on the hub, different numbers on the spinner, different number on the props. You won't ever see the group number stamped anywhere. So ignore "baugruppe", as that was only for purposes in manuals. I dont have any photos of D13 props handy, but I suspect the number on the D13 blade is 100% correct. Mike |
Re: Baugruppen of props
Thank you, harrison987.
I felt wondered the photo of NASM Ta152H-0 prop blade stenciled "9-30372.11" and explained as "Baugruppen equipment number" in the book. |
