Josten Book Gefechtsbericht

I've read the new book about Günther Josten. It is from 29/6 and edited with the help of Kurt Braatz. It is a bit different to other books which are counting kills and medals. Josten wrote a personal diary during his wartime. You can get a very personal look at the situation within the Luftwaffe. I would recommend the book to all who like an inside view about
the Luftwaffe at war.

Re: Josten Book Gefechtsbericht

I just finnished this one - again, an excellent work by "296".

A very interesting approach IMHO was to publish Jostens original diaries with only some introducing words to each chapter.

So this book allows a very unusual view upon aerial warfare in the East until the final days in April/May 1945.

Highly recommendable...

as the English section of the 296 site for this title doesn't appear to be working I've posted a small preview in English here
