RAF Aircraft Egypt 1945/6 Part 5/6
Hi,
Here is the next installment of 'photo's taken by my father while he was based in Egypt. A big thank you to those who supplied info on the photos in the previous posts and as always I would be most grateful for any extra information on the aircraft in this one. Re: RAF Aircraft Egypt 1945/6 Part 5/6
I thought the last one might be a Waco or a Fairchild so I Googled SU-ACO and discovered that it was a Waco SRE.

Avro 626: Tutors are only two seaters. Initially sold for anti-hashish duties: some things don't change. I wonder if the equipment under the wings is for spraying bad stuff or good stuff - as late as 1945/46 I suspect it is probably DDT.

The picture with Waco SU-ACO also shows an aeroplane in the hangar.
Ideas welcome.. Regards, Leendert |

I'd say an Anson in the hangar. Note the engine cowls, cockpit glazing layout.
