>With the best wishes. I don't think so. 24 Ost = Rumania-Bulgaria-Greece, where Grosstrapez "41" situated somewhere in eastern Greece. More so, according to Michael Holm's site they based at Lublin at that time. Al in all "25Ost" looks much more reasonable. Thus coordinates are 24o40', 50o30'/24o50',50o35' - somewhere west of Lvov. |

Hi Vlad !
Here you go .... http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...multimap.y=197 You can use the +/- zoom function upper left corner or just click somewhere aside (but not INTO) the red circle. This Excel sheet has Ohlen's loss in line number 1932. http://www.jg54greenhearts.com/JG54Loss.zip And in the next 11./JG54 loss in line number 1933 you find Pl. Qu. 4153 with position "östl.Sokol" which seems to confirm "25 Ost" as the correct one. Maybe for solving such mysteries you would like to use this fantastic tool LUMA done by a fantastic person (actually ME, ha ha, Извини те ...) http://www.gyges.dk/LUMA.xls Anyway it's FREE ! Take it ... bye, FrankieS |
