KG40 Crew Photo
 

Can anybody please help me names the crew from 1./KG40 . I have had this photo for over twenty years in my collection and only came across again lately while going through my files. I would be very grateful for any help , thanks.

I cannot see the rank of the DKiG holder but if it is 1/KG 40, the only names that I have are Lt Wilhelm Dette or Lt Otto Gose. If you mean I/KG 40 add another 7 names-Jope (not him), Maly, Mayer (don't think it is him), Pflueger, Graf, Waterbeck and Wrede

this is the crew of (then Lt. or Oblt. ?) Rudolf "Miesi" Mayr.
There´s an article about "Miesi" Mayr by Hans-Werner Neulen in Flugzeug Classic Nrs. 6/2002 and 7-8/2002 containing this picture too.
Sorry, the names of the crewmembers are not mentioned.
If it is I./KG 40 then the picture was taken before 10. August 1942 because on this date he took comand of 9./KG 40.

Many thanks Chris and Nobert for your help . Now I can put a name on the DK holder . Now that we know this was the crew of Rudolf Mayr , would it be possible to know who the rest of the crew members are ?
