RAF Nightfighter claims 19.03.44???
Hi to all,
I am currently researching the loss of a 6/KG30 Ju 88 for a relative of one of the crew members who is still listed as missing in action. On the 19/20.03.44 a Ju 88 coded 4D +AP Wnr.550143 was dispatched on a mission to Hull, sadly the aircraft failed to return and all four crew were lost. My question is: Was there any RAF nightfighter activity in the vicinity of Hull this night? Does anyone have any claims or info regarding this loss. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The Luftwaffe crew were: FF. Fw. Rudolf Junger + B. Ogefr. Helmut Westerworth + BF. Ogefr. Alfred Müller + BS. Gefr. Helmut Barth + Many thanks in advance! Yes quite a lot. I believe that Flt Lt Joe Singleton probably go this ac on the way in to the target although he id'd the ac as a Ju 188

It is nice to be pointed in the right direction regarding this case, one last thing though, can you tell me what Squadron Singleton was flying at this time? Kind regards, Melvin |
