Research in the US

I need some help to finding few veterans and/or their families in the US. I have some useful details, so in some cases, it's quite easy task.

I can offer for this help Luftwaffe and other materials.

Thanks in advance,

I advice you to post your question on http://www.armyairforces.com/forum/.

Post in the unit sub-forum, many unit historians and veterans (or veterans' families) are active there and I have made some valuable "meetings".

Thanks, Laurent, I know that forum.

You know, I am looking for two veterans, who are not members of any organizations, don't visit any meetings, reunions, etc. I am looking for further two as well, with the known last address (one is still living according to my knowledge, the other maybe still living or passed away few years ago but he has some relatives in the same area - I didn't got an answer from this last two pilots)

Re: Research in the US

did you try to check if they are still alive at social security number list...
then try to locate their addresses and phone numbers at www.whitepages.com
having some hints...just install skype, wait for good time (USA is different time zone;) and go on:)

that what I used to do...
but be aware of the fact that some guys simply have bad memories on war (it was not a walk through garden full of roses) and just simply hang the phone or tell you that they are not interested....

sziastok...

Ahoy Masta Kaso,

tried the mentioned sources as well but it's a bit more complex question. Maybe I'll explain it to you in an e-mail;-)

See you soon,
