Unknown Bf110 emblem
 

This emblem is from eBay here. Can not find it in the usual sources?...any ideas on unit much appreciated.

Hi Ian

I think i't's a stylized version of II./ZG2's white dragon on a black shield. The other image with this photo was also II./ZG2 the German aligator chasing the British fish in a circle.

Looks like more a winged crocodile than a Dragon ... that reminds me another unknown emblem, still on Bf110, taken in Norway.

The other image shows the I./ZG 26 emblem, not II./ZG 2...

Yes Ian I have. I've been home to get it ... wait for a while .... Here it is.

Note that both are mere outlined drawings. If I dare I would say that's the same unit, the starboard side bearing the normal emblem the port side showing personnal variation on same thema. What I mean, in fact, is that with that second picture we may be have a clue.
Note that my picture was downloaded from eBay on 25/26 December of 2008!!!

... But I could be wrong too ...:(.

Many thanks Franck. Its great to see this emblem. The emblems are not identical, so probably not the same aircraft. But they are certainly close enough to be from the same unit. At eBay there is another auction of two photos of a Bf110 which could be the same aircraft as my first photo. The ground is covered in snow (could be Norway), but the photos are too small to see any emblems.

I think we need a photo with a code or other ID to be more certain about this emblem.
