Uffz.Bordfunker Johann Liptow

Hi,

I would be grateful for any information concerning the above named
Luftwaffe crew member. I know that he was with 12 Staffel/NJG 5 at the
time that he was listed as missing 7.8.1943 in Russia.

Steve, from Luft Qm's returns report dated 10-8-43 - on 7-8-43 12/NJG5 West of Karatschow, crash after Luftkampf Do217 1329 C9+FW 100% Ff Uffz Max Ostermeier, Bf Uffz.Hans Liptow, Bs Gef. Karl Fabry all missing. Amendment Report dated 25-8-43 then changes crew status from missing to killed,

We have the WASt Verlustmeldung which states the location 15 km W of Karatschew and photos of Ostermeir, Liptow and Fabry which will soon be included on our remembrance website.
