Help needed
Hello,
is there anybody who could give me precise and detailed geometrical data of the Me 109 F to K spinner? I am trying to make exact drawings of that aircraft but was unable to get sufficient information about the spinner. Help would be gratefully appreciated. With best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody, klemchen |

Re: Help needed
Dear Mr. Lutz,
thank you very much for your reply. It is puzzling me a bit: On Mtt. company drawings I have the diameter of the spinner at its base is given as 760 mm, while on yours, transferring the figures into the metric system and assuming the grid for basic data was no finer than half millimeters, it is 756 mm. Could this be due to your figures referring to the inside of the skinning and that this was 2 mm thick? Another interesting feature is that, according to your drawing, the spinner was 534.5 mm long, and by the other data I have, this yields an overall length of exactly 9000 mm (as opposed to the 9020 mm given by a number of sources). Since I am trying to keep this as brief as possible, I am not going into the details here, but if you (or somebody else) should be interested in the data I have, I am quite willing to share them. Sincerely yours, klemchen |
