Seeking 2 x Ju88A W.Nr. for Aug & Sept 1940 losses.

Hello,

I need Werk Nummers for two Ju88As that came down in Britain:

1) Ju88A-1 7A+AL of 3.(F)/121 that belly landed and burned out at Upcott Farm, Beaford, England on 22.8.40.

2) Ju88A-1 4U+BL of 3.(F)/123 that belly landed at at Drum Ddu, Hafotty-y-Bulch, near Mallwyd, Wales, on 7.9.40. Several good photos exist of this a/c.

Can anyone help?

Regards,

Hi, Larry.

For some reason there is no information on the aircraft lost on 07.09.1940. I have the crew information, but I am sure you have them also.

The location is reported as Liverpool.

There was a correction with regards to the fate of Fw. Kobold - I have assumed in my records that he was repatriated as severely wounded - can anyone confirm this?

Regards,
Andreas B

Hello to Andreas and Ed,

It seems that you everyone has the same problem that I have with the W.Nr. on these two Ju88 losses. I'm hoping that someone picked this up from some alternative source from the normal reporting.

Do not consider this two be a major problem, compared to what you are perhaps attempting. Some say a problem is answer in disguise. I do my best and do not expect all W.Nr. problems can be solved instantly. Some losses or accidents W.Nr. have been solved using alternate sources, but this require both extensive co-op and painstaking research. It perhaps could help, posting what you really have, then perhaps somone else has different item (or info) and can add to it.
