Gentlemen,

this is to inform you that by now Vol. 12/I of our JFV series has been completed and is ready for the printer; it will comprise 508 pages and cover operations in the East by Stab, II. and III./JG 3, Stab, II., III., 13. and 14./JG 5, Stab, Stabsstaffel and I./JG 51. There will be 277 photos plus the usual maps (not the fold-out, which will come with the last of Vol. 12). As of now, from the sheer mass of information it looks as though Part 12 will also be a 3-Volume affair.

I hope that we will be able to meet the March release date. However, I will keep you posted.

Mr. Prien, thank you for the update. Most appreciated. As a sidebar, I note that the 11 volumes I have so far comprise some 20 books! I say that as a salute to the completeness and excellence of you and your team's work. Carry on!

I await all 3 volumes so as to fill in the gaps in the claims and hopefully the losses for 1943.

Since this didn't get a "sticky" (bumping back), is the book still at the publisher and still looking "maybe" at the end of March?

No change - the manuscript and photomaterial and all the rest is with the publisher and the the time frame is still the same: Hopefully out in March.

I pre-ordered my copy today from www.christian-schmidt.com . I was informed that it should be out by the end of April.
