StG 1 loss - 3rd March 1944 - Details Sought

Good afternoon,
I was wondering if any members have details or amplifying information on a Stuka loss in 1943.
I have a Wehrpass to a Josef Kirn (Born: 3rd Feb 1923 at Balzhausen) who served in 4./StG 1 (renamed SG 1) in 1943/44 as a rear gunner and was shot down and killed on 9th Mar 1944 in the Popowka/Uman area of the Ukraine. He had completed 219 sorties in 8 months and was posthumously awarded the Ehrenpokal.
Does anyone have any details on the loss, maybe the cause and who his pilot may of been? Any information would be appreciated.
