WASt NVM for Do 17 loss 07.09.1940 wanted!
 

Hi all,

We are currently investigating the loss of Dornier Do17Z Wnr.2596 of Stab KG76 which crashed at Sundridge. Kent after collision with F/Lt P. C Hughes on the 7th September 1940. We currently have a page of remembrance for F/Lt Hughes on our website and would like to contruct a page of remembrance for the Dornier crew. We would really appreciate further details regarding the Dornier especially a copy of the NVM for this loss.

1940-09-07, Stabsst./KG 76, Do 17Z, 2596, F1+BA, Sunridge, Sevenoaks, Zusammenstoß mit Spitfire nach Jägerbeschuß. Bruch 100 %.

The village is Sundridge, about 3 miles from Biggin Hill

Thanks. Germans were not always quite exact with foreign names.
