Pearl harbour shoot downs
hello'
could anybody tell me how many aircraft were shot down at pearl harbour. 1- USA..in air /by whom- 2-Japanese in air/by whom- and was a P26 the first to shoot down a japan plane.who was the pilot.? Sharon |

It appears that P-26 pilots claimed some air victories in the Philippines in early December 1941, but not at Pearl Harbor. Regards, Leendert |

2 American Civilian Light Aircraft were also shot down by Japanese A/C with loss of lives and 2 were forced to Land. One of them was a Interstate Cadet Piloted by Cornelia Fort. She later became a WASP and was first one to be KIS on 3/21/43.An Airpark in Nashville , TE. is named for Her. Mike |
