Thanks again, Brian

I am trying to put together a table of claims to go inside my copy of Air War over the Med. Vol.2 by Chris Shores. These'll help me a lot.

Keith

Hi Keith

Volume 2? I don't think Volume 1 has appeared yet. Is Volume 2 being advertised?

Cheers

Maybe Keith means Chris Shores' vintage 3-volume "Illustrated History of the Mediterranean Air War" (published by Ian Allan, I think).

Sorry guys, I wasn't clear.

It is indeed a very old copy of Pictorial History of the Mediterranean Air War Vol.2. It's to blame for all the hours I have spent poring over books to match them up. Brillliant photos and massively interesting text to go with it. If you ain't got a copy buy, borrow or steal one! ;-)

One I used to borrow regularly from the local library back when I was young and broke (alternating with borrowing his "Second Tactical Air Force").

Hi Nick

Are you implying that you are longer 'young' but also not 'broke'?

I differ on the second statement!

Hi Keith

I've just located my 145 Squadron list and can add:

20/10/43 (you have 2/10/43) Osler + F/S RA Aubrey

26/3/44 MacDonald + W/O Martyn

Keep chipping away!

Cheers
Brian

(a) Yes.
(b) Well, if you will spend it all on aviation research …
