Re: A few photos 2-19-12
In the photo album is a nice close-up of mechanics around a DB on the ME-110 and clearly shows a triangular set of 3 instruments. Based upon what I see in a Walkaround of the ME-110 in Google Images, it appears these were displayed as part of the cowling for the pilot. I am assuming they are on the left side engine also. Does anyone know what instruments these are and whether they were redundant to what was in the cockipt, and were they particular to certain models of the ME-110?

Re: A few photos 2-19-12
Tony,
I assume they are permanent though I do not know if they are duplicated in the cockpit. The C, D, E and F models had three holes in the cowling in the same position as these dials. The G model had a triangular (with rounded edges) cut out but doing the same thing. Mark |

Seems to be Propellor Pitch indicator, Vapor Pressure Indicator, and Lubricant Pressure indicator. |
Re: A few photos 2-19-12
Nice photo album...
The shot down Blenheim IV is from No 82 Sq, but which? I think I can read R36 but the next two are even more dicey. R3690 with 82 went missing on an attack on French airfields 11.7.1940. Might be this one..... Cheers Stig |
Re: A few photos 2-19-12
Another possible : R3619 UX-T 1940-07-29 Texel.

Re: A few photos 2-19-12
I suppose it is
Is the code UX-T verified? According to Chorley R3619 is believed to have come down in the sea. Texel was an Island. Cheers Stig |
Re: A few photos 2-19-12
The R3619 crashed at Texel (De Cocksdorp-Vuurtorenweg) and not in the sea.
