Hi to all,

Can anyone supply any further information regarding the loss of Ogefr. Benedikt Helmer killed on the 29.01.1944. I Have a copy of his death card which I hope to use in his page of remembrance.

Just as a matter of interest, according to Jet & Prop 3/95, p.43-45 a WNr. 138 'CE+IC', belonging with the F.d.F. and piloted by Hptm. Joachim Heubner, was also reported lost at Wilhelmhorst on 27/28-Apr-45 while bringing Naval personnel to Berlin.

Matti, I had F8+HW on the 29th.Jan.1944 as 0139, its in my notes I cannot find the loss sheet at present,

139 seems to be correct. I have checked the NVM, which also has this WNr. Jus now I cannot find the source of 138, but it must be a secondary source, becauds I don't have any primary documents for this loss.

WNr. 0139 seems a better resolution given the machine had earlier been reported damaged with the same Gruppe.
